Gateway High School offers a number of excellent extra-curricular opportunities. Activities are designed to supplement the school curriculum and provide additional opportunities for our students to develop skills, character, and leadership. Students are given the opportunity to participate in additional co-curricular activities throughout the year. Sport plays a central role in the School’s endeavour to support and nurture individual pupils with diverse needs.  We believe sport develops pupils’ confidence and resilience through physical, technical and mental stimulation, as well as exposure to teamwork and leadership opportunities.

At the core of our games program is a team-sports ethos, promoting physical health and social interaction and providing every pupil with the opportunity to represent the school. Pupils are guided through their sports choices by experienced tutors and coaches. Every pupil engages in a major sport while sampling other sports and activities.
